FFG's core businesses are vehicle and mechanical engineering, prototype construction and vehicle maintenance. In these areas, FFG is armed with many years of experience and comprehensive know-how. In order to be able to replace defective components quickly in the event of a repair, we have a modern mechanical engineering department with a high degree of vertical integration and manufacturing breadth.
Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008 is a matter of course for us. This means we can offer you the best quality with a wide range of services.
Our services range from simple sheet metal processing to complicated CNC milled parts and welded constructions, including painting, to the creation of complex assemblies. If desired, we can also take over development and design. In addition, FFG has, among other things, welding approval in accordance with DIN EN 15085-2/C1 (welding on rail vehicles and superstructures), and we can carry out non-destructive tests in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9712.
The customers of our "Mechanical Production" include the German Bundeswehr and well-known companies such as Diehl, Siemens or Oerlikon Neumag. FFG's in-house production specializes in the manufacture of aluminium and steel parts and is equipped with modern CNC machines. For example, complicated aluminium structural parts, some of which have a machining content of over 85%, as well as individual parts and special designs are produced on a subcontract basis.
FFG's surface treatment services range from blasting components with corundum or cast steel to powder coating and elaborate camouflage or high-gloss paint finishes. The basis of our high quality level is the cleaning of vehicles and components with high-pressure cleaners, special washing facilities and industrial parts cleaning in automatic washing machines.
The FFG welding department modifies and processes, among other things, complete vehicle hulls. We also manufacture and integrate complete mine protection modules for a wide variety of vehicle systems. Furthermore, the FFG welding department manufactures complete mounting frames (medium size) for sonar components for the civilian industry in the field of marine equipment. All necessary welding approvals are of course available.
