Support
The WiSENT 1 multi-functional platform was developed by FFG to flexibly, cost-effectively, efficiently and economically support the Leopard 2 main battle tank and other vehicles in armies around the world. The WiSENT 1 is an adaptable armoured vehicle system that meets all user requirements. In addition to the improved hydraulic system that provides maximum hydraulic power in any situation, the customer can also choose other upgrade options, such as the hydro gas suspension system, the 960 hp power package or air conditioning.
Protection
Ballistic protection in accordance with NATO STANAG 4569 Level 5 and Level 3 protection against mines provide the best possible safety for the crew in crisis areas. The option to include add-on armour modules enables a mission-dependent safety configuration. The standard fire extinguishing system ensures greater safety during operations. In addition, the WiSENT 1 is designed to accommodate a dedicated camera system as well as an overhead weapon station. A roof-mounted storage box can carry special tools and other equipment for immediate use.

WiSENT 1 ARV
The WiSENT 1 Armoured Recovery Vehicle (ARV) is the perfect vehicle to successfully perform all recovery missions with sufficient power and protection. The innovative crane makes it possible to lift loads of over 30 tons and the main winch has also been greatly improved. In addition, the ARV is equipped with an auxiliary winch that helps pull the main winch rope into position or enable recovery missions of smaller vehicles.
The WiSENT 1 ARV can carry a Leopard 2 spare power pack stowed on the top deck and has a total weight of approximately 54 tons. With its 960 PS, the WiSENT 1 ARV can reach a speed of over 65 km/h. Recovery is supported by the introduced Combat Recovery System CRS®, which enables the crew to recover vehicles under the armoured protection of the WiSENT 1. To ensure fast and safe recovery, the Combat Recovery System CRS® is equipped with a special camera system.

WiSENT 1 AEV
The WiSENT 1 Armoured Engineer Vehicle (AEV) supports engineer forces with a wide range of capabilities and high performance never achieved with a Leopard 1-based engineer vehicle. The state-of-the-art excavator arm is inspired by civilian excavator systems to provide the full range of performance of a high-end excavator in the field. It has a digging capacity of more than 300 cubic meters per hour with a bucket volume of 1.3 cubic meters. In addition to its high level of protection and mobility, the WiSENT 1 AEV also offers great operational performance. With a lifting capacity of at least 4.5 tons, the vehicle can also perform demanding crane operations. Equipped with an integrated welding and cutting unit for 230 V or 400 V, the full operational capability is directly available to the pioneer troops. Of course, the WiSENT 1 AEV is equipped with leading mine and ballistic protection systems, the upgraded power pack and the flexible hydro gas suspension system of the MVP WiSENT 1 system family.

WiSENT 1 MC
Tactical mine clearance is one of the most demanding tasks in the field. To enable armies around the globe to perform this task quickly, safely and reliably, FFG has developed the WiSENT 1 Mine clearing (MC). The WiSENT 1 MC is based on a WiSENT 1 ARV and is designed to support following troops with safe, cleared routes. The WiSENT 1 MC is equipped with a full-width mine clearing system that is in service with several nations around the world. In addition, the WiSENT 1 MC is equipped with a lane marking system that allows following troops to safely pass through cleared lanes.
